Women of Achievement

The annual Women of Achievement Event is a celebration of the women in our community whose work aligns with YWCA's mission to empower women and eliminate racism.  The event includes an awards ceremony to recognize the incredible work that women do in our community. Guests are invited to a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres and a plated dinner followed by a presentation. Tickets are required for admission.

The awards include: Rising Star, an award for a high school or college student who has taken the role of advancing and promoting diversity, equality, and/or inclusion in her high school or community; Power to the Future, an award for a woman under the age of 35 who shows potential for a leadership role and demonstrates a commitment to the success of other women and/or people of color; Catalyst for Change, an award for a woman in health care, human services or education who has promoted the advancement of women and/or people of color; the Impact Award, an award for a woman who promotes diversity in the approach of an organization or community as a volunteer; and Shattered Ceiling, an award for a woman who is a leader in a predominantly male field and is breaking down barriers for women and people of color to become leaders alongside her.
