More about the Speaker
Bethaney Wilkinson (she/her) is a facilitator, coach, and champion of race-conscious leadership. She is author of The Diversity Gap: Where good intentions meet true cultural change (HarperCollins Leadership), and hosts a podcast by the same name, which has been downloaded over a quarter of a million times worldwide. She has dedicated more than a decade to exploring the intersections of community, racial justice, and social change—specifically in the organizational context. As part of her work, Bethaney has been invited to share at major conferences and in partnership with top global companies, including Google, Creative Mornings, Ball, Magna International, and more. With degrees in Education from Emory University and in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, Bethaney is passionate about amplifying creative solutions to the challenges facing diverse communities and organizations.

What: A one-day conference focusing on why diversity in organizations is only the beginning of equity work.
Workshops offered: There will be a choice of four breakout sessions presented by YWCA Jamestown and invited facilitators. Each breakout session will be offered twice to give participants an opportunity to engage with multiple sessions.
Lunch Break: Bring your own or venture out and experience the culinary diversity that the Jamestown area has to offer.
Fee: $60 per person

Abby Anderson (she/her) Founder of the Justice Walk, will provide a thoughtful exploration on race conscious leadership particularly for those looking to create work spaces focused on racial equity.
ala ochumare (they/she), Founder of Liberation U Consulting, will lead important conversation and support for BIPOC individuals who work primarily in white spaces.
Alizé Scott-Nowell (she/her), Director of Social Justice and Race Equity at YWCA Jamestown, will present on engaging youth in race equity work.
Indo Quiñones (she/her), Mission Impact Director at YWCA Jamestown, will present on building a culturally responsive and inclusive work and organizational environment.
