At YWCA Jamestown, we are committed to providing local youth with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make informed, responsible choices about their health. Through our Community Health Awareness Team (CHAT), we offer evidence-based programs that reduce the risk of teen pregnancy and promote healthy decision-making.

Be Proud! Be Responsible!
For ages 13-18
A six-module evidence-based curriculum designed to provide knowledge and skills that reduce the risk of pregnancy, HIV, and STDs while promoting positive decision-making. -
Healthy Relationships
Flexible program for all ages
Teaches youth to recognize toxic relationships, set boundaries, and foster positive communication. -
Project AIM (Adult Identity Mentoring)
For ages 11-14
Evidence-based curriculum that encourages young adolescents to think about their futures, motivating them to make safe choices. -
Be Proud! Be Responsible! Be Protective!
For pregnant and parenting teens
An eight-module adaptation of Be Proud! Be Responsible! that emphasizes maternal protectiveness and sexual responsibility. -
Condoms & Consent 80-minute course (two 40-minute sessions)
For ages 13-18
Covers consent, legal implications of failing to obtain consent, and correct condom use through discussion and demonstrations. -
Girls Circle
For girls ages 11-18
An evidence-based support group that builds confidence and personal strengths. -
Talking Parents, Healthy Teens

Program designed to help parents and caregivers communicate effectively with their adolescents about sexual development and reproductive health.
