Who We Are

YWCA Jamestown is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

YWCA Jamestown provides housing, day care, alternative school for pregnant and parenting teens, summer day camp, after school programs, pregnancy prevention, and a supervised visitation and exchange program.  

YWCA USA

One of the largest and oldest multicultural organizations in the world, the YWCA was founded in 1885 in England.  Today, YWCA USA operates in 120 countries serving 25 million women and their families each year. This involves 40,948 volunteers; 3,424 board members; over 6,000 part time staff; and over 6,000 full time staff. Each YWCA provides valuable and needed services in their community for women and their children.

YWCA USA focuses its mission-driven work in three key areas where they believe they can have the most impact:
