Program Highlights

10:45am Morning lecture in amphitheater Ian Rowe & Rebecca Winthrop examining “The Future of the American Experiment” through the lenses of education and youth development.


Noon Lunch at the Presbyterian House dining room next to the amphitheater.


2:00pm or 7:30pm Chautauqua Theater Company presents Execution of Justice. This play confronts themes of justice, prejudice, and privilege and grapples with the issues of gun violence and systemic homophobia. (additional cost for theater tickets at discounted rate)


3:30pm Elizabeth Camarillo Gutierrez, My Side of the River: A Memoir   YWCA’s 2025 CHQ Book Read and Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle Presentation. Gutierrez reveals her experience as the U.S. born daughter of immigrants and what happened when, at fifteen, her parents were forced back to Mexico in this captivating and tender memoir.


4:30 pm Tapas at the Jewish Life Center porch


8:15 pm Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra: Korngold and Dvorak Multiple Grammy Award winning conductor and Music Director of the Buffalo Philharmonic JoAnn Falletta joins the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra for a luminous evening.
