A Partnership with Purpose

Young Women Choosing Action was created by YWCA USA in collaboration with Centene Corporation. It follows a successful pilot program implemented by three other YWCA organizations across the United States. This dynamic initiative highlights YWCA’s ongoing commitment to social justice and community empowerment while preparing young women to take meaningful action in their lives and communities.

Empowering Youth Voice

At its core, Young Women Choosing Action prioritizes youth voice. Participants will engage in thoughtful discussions and collaborative learning experiences that cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By fostering an environment where young women can express their opinions and share their unique perspectives, this program encourages a rich exchange of ideas and experiences.

Hands-On Advocacy Projects

Participants will have the opportunity to develop and execute a Social Justice/Advocacy project from inception to completion. This hands-on approach allows young women to apply the leadership skills and knowledge they acquire throughout the program, making a tangible impact on the issues they are passionate about. Whether it’s tackling local community challenges or addressing broader societal concerns, participants will gain invaluable experience in project management, teamwork, and advocacy strategies.
