Winter Fund Drive
Without the programs at the YWCA, I would not have a high school education, would not have gone to college, and would not be the mom I am today. They taught me a lot, including how to be a mom. My children benefited from my experience at TEAM,” explains Becky.
Annual Fund Challenge Reaches $20,000 Goal
Board members, trustees & friends show support
Past and present board members, trustees and friends of YWCA Jamestown stepped forward to show their support during our end of year Member Challenge. News of a matching campaign added to the excitement as the organization kicked off the first phase in a new annual fund campaign. Contributions total $21,800 as this drive wraps up.
Amanda Gesing, current Executive Director commented "We are thankful for the strong leadership and important outreach to the YWCA community that past executive director, Pat Smith and past board member, Betsy Shepherd brought to the campaign. And it was exciting to see members and friends of the organization from long ago join current supporters in saying "yes" to the YWCA program and mission."
This spring, we will be reaching out to the community, spreading the word about our programs and asking for support as we continue our mission of Eliminating Racism and Empowering Women. If you are interested in hosting a small group or are part of an organization that would like to learn more about the YWCA, contact Amanda Gesing at 716.488.2237.
